The Ivy Medical Group has been established in Burton Joyce and Lowdham since 2006. We look after approximately just over 7200 patients located in Burton Joyce, Lowdham and surrounding villages. We are a training practice for the University of Nottingham and are active in supporting our local health community. Register your Data Opt-out Preference

The data held in your GP medical records is shared with other healthcare professionals for the purposes of your individual care. It is also shared with other organisations to support health and care planning and research by NHS Digital.

If you do not want your personally identifiable patient data to be shared outside of your GP practice for purposes except your own care, this is known as a Type 1 Opt-out. GP and Medical Student Training

The Practice is an approved trainer for GP Registrars and Medical Students. GP registrars are fully qualified experienced doctors training choosing to now train in General practice. We take first and second year Medical Students for training from the University of Nottingham.

The Institute of General Practice Management has launched a campaign to raise awareness of some of the abuse our teams face every day. While most patients are polite and courteous, our teams are having to deal with abuse daily and the abuse must stop. Chest Pain

Most chest pain is not a sign of anything serious but you should get medical advice just in case. Call 999 if you have sudden chest pain that: spreads to your arms, back, neck or jaw, makes your chest feel tight or heavy, also started with shortness of breath, sweating and feeling or being sick, lasts more than 15 minutes.
