About Us

The Ivy Medical Group has been established in Burton Joyce and Lowdham since 2006. We look after approximately just over 7200 patients located in Burton Joyce, Lowdham and surrounding villages. We are a training practice for the University of Nottingham and are active in supporting our local health community. Our vision is to provide the very best primary medical services with a focus on family health and continuity of care. Our medical and nursing team have a wide variety of expertise and experience in providing holistic care. Our practice is actively involved in the commissioning of local health care committed to ensuring the very highest quality of care for our patients.

The Ivy Medical Group is open to new registrations. Please do download and fill out our registration form using the link to the form to the left and chat with our reception staff who will be happy to help you through the registration process. You can check if your home address is within our practice area by referencing the maps below.

Guide to GP Service

Please provide two forms of ID (one photo ID and one proof of address such as a utility bill, bank statement or tenancy agreement). The reception staff will ask you to complete a small form with your details and then enter your details into the system.

Our Health Community

The Ivy Medical Group is part of the Nottinham North and East clinical commissioning group (NNE CCG). The population of Nottingham North and East CCG is distributed across five local authority areas within Nottinghamshire County, namely Gedling, Ashfield, Broxtowe, Nottingham City, and Newark and Sherwood. The majority of patients registered with GP practices in the CCG area live within three districts: Gedling Borough, Ashfield District (mainly Hucknall), and Broxtowe Borough (parts of Eastwood). The remainder live in Nottingham City, Newark & Sherwood District and other parts of Nottinghamshire. Our main providers include County Health Partnerships – Community Services, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust – Mental Health Services, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust – Acute care (Queens Medical Centre and City Hospital).
